Mr. Shankar Badiger, is a diploma holder in mechanical engineering from KHK polytechnic, Dharwad, Bachelor in Mechanical engineering from THE INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS (INDIA), KOLKATA. He has completed M.Tech in Thermal Engineering Systems Technology from University BDT College of engineering, Davangere and he has secured First rank in his M.Tech programme. He is pursuing Ph.D in VTU. He has completed the course work.
- Presently working as Assistant Professor. in KLS’S VDIT , Haliyal from 1 August 2012 till date.
His area of interest is combustion and heat transfer. He has attended international conferences and presented a following paper.
- A paper on “Effect of injection timing on the performance of CI Engine fueled with non-edible biodiesels” at the International conference organized by Vidhy vardhaka college of engineering, Dept of Mechanical engineering, Mysore on 12th and 14th July 2012.
A paper on “Flame shapes and Heat transfer characteristics of an impinging flame jet” was presented at MSRIT, Bangalore on Sept. 9th and 10th 2016.
A paper titled “Effects of Reynolds number and equivalence ratio on flame shapes”was presented in international conference held in HIT, Nidasoshi on Oct. 8th and 9th 2016 and paper has been published in journals.
A paper titled “ Studies on flame shapes”was presented in international conference held in St. Peter’s Engineering college, Hyderabad. The paper has been accepted for publication in Elsevier proceedings.

- Studies on inverse diffusion flames and heat transfer using inverse diffusion flame burner ( Awarded as best project of the year 2017)
- Improvement in the domestic LPG burner.
